Jaipur is the colorful capital city of the state of Rajasthan. Famously known as Pink City, Jaipur is one of the most visited places of India. The history of this vibrant city is alive in its forts and palaces and the vibrancy makes its mark in the vivacious bazaars popular for Rajasthani jewelry, fabric and shoes. However, all these can be enjoyed to its best when you come at best time to visit Jaipur.

Jaipur, the capital city of the Rajasthan has a very rigorous climatic condition. It is characterized by high degree of temperatures during summer. And with due effect to this, summer is considered to be very hot and scorching here. Usually, mercury rises to 45 °C in summers registering a high temperature for the day. However, the minimum temperature is 25.8 °C in summers. So summer is not a best time to visit Jaipur especially for those who are not accustomed to the glaring sun.

During Monsoons one can visit Jaipur, but still there is nothing much to enjoy in showers.

The best time to visit Jaipur Tour is winter. The months from October to March are best enough to bask in the beauty of this Pink City. To say it so, winter months are very pleasant for long stays. In winters, mercury rises up to 22 °C at the max. However, nights are comparatively cold and chilling as it can go down to 8.3 °C.

By Air
The Jaipur Airport also known as Sanganer Airport is well connected with all the major cities of India like Delhi,Mumbai,Kolkata,Chennai. There are direct flights to Delhi, Mumbai , Jodhpur, Udaipur, and Ahmedabad. The airport is at a distance of 15km from the city. The Domestic Airlines all, operate here and there is one international flight to Dubai.

By Rail
Jaipur, on Western Railway's meter gauge and broad gauge network, is very well connected with train services from many parts of the country. It is also, an important junction with direct services to most places of tourist interest. Jaipur Railway station is located only half a kilometer from city centre. Taxis, auto and cycle-rickshaws are available at the station for transfer to places in the city.

By Bus
Jaipur is one of the best connected cities in the region with very frequent bus services. From Delhi deluxe and ordinary buses ply at a half-hour frequency and take less than six hours. Rajasthan Roadways, Haryana Roadways, Delhi Transport Corporation and UP State Road Transport Corporation provide services from virtually every major centre in the region. Deluxe bus services of Rajasthan Roadways also connect Jaipur with many important tourist centres in the state, like Kota, Jodhpur, etc. The Central Bus Stand at Sindhi Camp is located very close to the Railway Station. Buses to/from Delhi also stop at Narain Singh Circle.

By Road
On National Highway No. 8, Jaipur is connected to all places of the country through good roads. Road distances to some important centres of tourist interest in the region are: Agra 230 km, Alwar 142 km, Bharatpur 176 km, Jhunjhunu 182 km, Jodhpur 332 km, Mandawa 190 km, Nathdwara 355 km, Sariska 111 km, Udaipur 374 km and Delhi 261 km.
